The Abiding Life-Part 1

September 19

What exactly is an abiding life? Abiding speaks of rest, that means you are walking with God and you’re listening to His Holy Spirit, and whatever He tells you to do you say, “Yes, Lord.” You’re abiding in Him.

Jesus said, >John 15:4-5 – “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

Jesus is saying that we cannot do anything unless we abide in Him. Do you realize that when you became a child that God, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of you and He places you in Christ Jesus? You may not emotionally feel rich because as humans we look to see what all we have, we look at our house, our car, and our clothes to try and determine where we are in life. Do you realize that spiritually you are very wealthy? You may not realize it, I hope you do, but the truth is that if you are truly a child of God, you are most wealthy on this earth. Amen? Christ is in you and you are in Him, we have already been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
