Leaving Your First Love-Part 6

November 23

1 Peter 3:15  - But sanctify the Lord God[a] in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;”

When we loose our first love this is evidence that we are beginning a new first love. Have you ever talked to someone who loved football? They can tell you everything about the players, the numbers on their jersey’s, their records, they can tell you everything and they do it all without notes. Do you know why they can do that? Because they love it!

You show me a man, woman, boy or girl, who loves Jesus Christ supremely, not because they have to but because they love Him and I can show you somebody who can tell you about Jesus without notes. They talk about what they love. We talk about what we love.

Major Ian Thomas said, “You and I should so walk with God that people, instead of you knocking on their door they ought to knock on your door wanting to know what it is that makes you tick.”

People should come to you and be curious about the hope that they sense that is within you. This is not in there for the person who has lost their first love.
