A Rest For Your Soul-Part 1

November 2

Isaiah 53:6– All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

You and I were born dead in our trespasses and sin and separated from God. At the moment of our salvation, that sin burden we were born with was laid upon the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross and He died with it. He paid the price for your sin and mine.

My friend, you must believe and you must receive to have this initial burden lifted from you. Do you know the reason we can say that in our weakness we find His strength? It is really very simple, when we get out of the way Christ lives through us. This is the bottom line. When we choose to surrender control to God, all that God is in us has unhindered way through us, but when we choose not to do this, we quench and grieve the Holy Spirit.
