Psalm 144:3
Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him ! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

Ricky walked home from school past the front of the church. He noticed that the nativity scene had been set up, so he stopped long enough to check it out. All of the figures towered above him, but one in particular caught his eye. An angel looked down from the roof of the creche, and Ricky thought it was looking right at him. He thought to himself, "I wonder if real angels are watching me right now? I wonder if God is?" Ricky left the nativity scene in awe, thinking maybe he was being watched over, and the thought filled him with joy.

Though we cannot fathom why God would love us so much, He does indeed watch over us. He knows all our movements and thoughts, and He cares deeply about the things we face in life. Know that the Lord is mindful of you, and be glad. In God's sight you are precious.

Prayer:

Watch over me, Lord. Thank You for making me impor tant by loving me so much. I am a new person in Your love. Use me to spread Your joy. Amen.
