No Holding Back

Today's reading: Psalm 119:145-152 (Qoph)

When we find ourselves in a difficult situation, when we're in distress, there's no better response than turning to God. So I was thankful for the example of the psalmist in these verses. Right off we see that he brings his situation to God and holds nothing back ("with my whole heart I cry"). We also see that he boldly asks God to help and save him, he is spending time meditating on God's Word, and that his focus on God is almost constant (rising before dawn and being awake before the watches of the night).

Think about times you've been in distress. What are some examples of things you've done? Have your responses paralleled those of the psalmist? Tami
