The Ropes Course
By: Rick Boxx
November 20, 2013

Years ago, my wife, Kathy, decided to conquer her fear of heights by walking through the “Ropes Course” at Camp Barnabas. At the starting point, high off the ground, her hands began sweating and her heart began to pound.

She wanted to turn back, but her guide wouldn’t allow it. Kathy will tell you that she learned a lot that day about herself, about courage, and about perseverance.

Joshua was told in Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Although the workplace doesn’t come equipped usually with a “Ropes Course,” we do have scary situations that require courage and perseverance. Be strong and courageous. God is with you.
