Day 184

CONSOLATION OF ISRAEL

He was waiting for
the consolation of Israel,
and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
Luke 2:25

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, I love to give comfort and consolation to My children. I guided My chosen people—the Israelites—through deep waters, fire, hunger, and drought. When they rebelled, I disciplined them and loved them back. When they lost their focus, I gave them direction. When they needed peace, I gave them My promise of an eternal Messiah. Do you think I will do any less for you? I am your consolation, too .

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
So many waited and hoped for Your coming, Lord. In anticipation of relief, comfort, and freedom from years of exile and hopelessness, they watched—and God was true to His Word. You are the consolation of Israel, and You are my comfort and hope, as well .

SIMPLE TRUTH

The floods may come, but a rainbow always follows.
