War And Peace
I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid (John 14:27).
America's military establishment has what they call "war colleges" in each of the major branches to help train leaders on strategy and the utilization of national resources necessary to implement that strategy. There is also a National War College in Washington, D.C.
Leading generals, admirals, and other key military figures frequent these high-level institutions. A large percentage of individuals who have reached the level of these high ranks have seen war first hand. They have seen their buddies die. They have experienced bloodshed. Their own lives have often been at risk or endangered, or they have suffered injury. Most of them believe in God and I have discovered that many have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Some time ago I was invited to one of the war colleges to be a guest and interact with our military leaders.
In the course of the conversation and times of interaction, the proposal was made that it be renamed "Peace College" instead of War College because the military might of the American forces is dedicated to maintaining world peace.
