Preparing Your Teens for College

Dr. Ray Pritchard
Dr. Ray Pritchard

Do you have a teenager at home?
Do you know a teenager?
Will your children be teenagers soon?

If you answer yes to any of the above, then you need a copy of Alex Chediak’s Preparing Your Teens for College. The book covers all aspects of the teen years, from building your faith to choosing the right friends to learning how to handle money to handling the rigors of college without flunking out.

In a sense, the title doesn’t do full justice to this book because Alex has written a guide that will help parents prepare their teens for whatever challenges lie ahead. His chapter on "Helping Teens Pursue Purity” puts the emphasis in exactly the right place. Purity is more about who we are than about what we do or don’t do. If the heart is not right, all the rules in the world will not keep us from making foolish choices.

I love the practicality of this book. Since Alex Chediak is a college professor, he knows what makes the difference between success and failure. Because he is a committed Christian, he applies God’s Word in a way that is realistic and winsome.

Raising teens is a tough challenge in today’s world. But you can find the help you need in the pages of Preparing Your Teens for College.
