The LORD Gives Dominion to the King

1101 Yahweh says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet.” 2 Yahweh will send forth the rod of your strength out of Zion.
Rule in the midst of your enemies. 3 Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array.
Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth. 4 Yahweh has sworn, and will not change his mind:
“You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

5 The Lord is at your right hand.
He will crush kings in the day of his wrath. 6 He will judge among the nations.
He will heap up dead bodies.
He will crush the ruler of the whole earth. 7 He will drink of the brook in the way;
therefore he will lift up his head.

The LORD's Care for His People

1111 Praise Yah! [1]
I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart,
in the council of the upright, and in the congregation. 2 Yahweh’s works are great,
pondered by all those who delight in them. 3 His work is honor and majesty.
His righteousness endures forever. 4 He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered.
Yahweh is gracious and merciful. 5 He has given food to those who fear him.
He always remembers his covenant.

6 He has shown his people the power of his works,
in giving them the heritage of the nations. 7 The works of his hands are truth and justice.
All his precepts are sure. 8 They are established forever and ever.
They are done in truth and uprightness. 9 He has sent redemption to his people.
He has ordained his covenant forever.
His name is holy and awesome! 10 The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom.
All those who do his work have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever!

The Prosperity of Him Who Fears the LORD

1121 Praise Yah! [2]
Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh,
who delights greatly in his commandments. 2 His seed will be mighty in the land.
The generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches are in his house.
His righteousness endures forever. 4 Light dawns in the darkness for the upright,
gracious, merciful, and righteous. 5 It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends.
He will maintain his cause in judgment.

6 For he will never be shaken.
The righteous will be remembered forever. 7 He will not be afraid of evil news.
His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh. 8 His heart is established.
He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries. 9 He has dispersed, he has given to the poor.
His righteousness endures forever.
His horn will be exalted with honor. 10 The wicked will see it, and be grieved.
He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away.
The desire of the wicked will perish.

Judgment of Immorality

51 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one has his father’s wife. 2 You are puffed up, and didn’t rather mourn, that he who had done this deed might be removed from among you. 3 For I most certainly, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has done this thing. 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 are to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 6 Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?

7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place. 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

9 I wrote to you in my letter to have no company with sexual sinners; 10 yet not at all meaning with the sexual sinners of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then you would have to leave the world. 11 But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. Don’t even eat with such a person. 12 For what have I to do with also judging those who are outside? Don’t you judge those who are within? 13 But those who are outside, God judges. “Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.” [3]
