361 In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah's reign, Sennacherib king of Assyria attacked all the fortified cities of Judah and captured them.

When the people got up the next morning-there were all the dead bodies! 37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.

He won't set a foot in this city. God's Decree. 35 I've got my hand on this city to save it, Save it for my very own sake, but also for the sake of my David dynasty.'" 36 Then the Angel of God arrived and struck the Assyrian camp - 185,000 Assyrians died. By the time the sun came up, they were all dead - an army of corpses! 37 Sennacherib, king of Assyria, got out of there fast, back home to Nineveh.

They will not march outside its gates with their shields nor build banks of earth against its walls. 34 The king will return to his own country by the same road on which he came. He will not enter this city,' says the Lord . 35 'For my own honor and for the sake of my servant David, I will defend this city and protect it.'" 36 That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere. 37 Then King Sennacherib of Assyria broke camp and returned to his own land. He went home to his capital of Nineveh and stayed there.
