“Mattathah” means gift of Jehovah

Mattathah: probably a contraction of Mattathiah.

  1. Son of Nathan and grandson of David, in the genealogy of Christ. (Luke 3:31) (B.C. after 1014.)
  2. An Israelite, son of Hashun, who divorced his Gentile wife after the return from Babylon. (Ezekiel 10:33) (B.C. 458.)
