Building Trust – Testimonials
By: Rick Boxx

Building trust is critical in our relationships and in the world of commerce. Jesus modeled five building blocks of trust in the calling of his first disciples. These elements can be remembered by the acronym TRUST.

The first T is for testimonials. Jesus’ first encounter with Peter and Andrew was at the Jordan River. John the Baptist baptized Jesus then the next day endorsed Him. John 1:35 teaches, “The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

John’s testimonial led Peter and Andrew to spend the day with Jesus which led to their calling as disciples. If you desire to build trust with those who don’t know you, don’t overlook the value of testimonials.
