1 John 4:8

The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

You can trust God because He loves you so much!

When you know that someone is totally committed to you in love, you know that you can trust them. They may not have made a promise to you about your specific situation, but you know instinctively that you can trust them in everything.

Why? Because they love you. Their purpose toward you is always good.

Coming to this conclusion in your heart is so important, because a huge part of trusting someone is knowing that they are dependable. God’s love for you is completely dependable. It is against His very being to fail to act in love toward one of His children.

If you are still hesitating to trust Him, remember that He has proven His deep love for you when Jesus died on the cross for you.

What is the alternative to trusting God? Trusting yourself. DL Moody once said, “Trust in yourself and you are doomed to disappointment…but trust in God and you are never to be confounded in time or eternity.”

God is reminding you of His love for you today. He is saying, “Trust Me.”
