Wisdom from the Psalms 6/24

Psalms 78:40
How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!

Brad knew that if he was good, his father would take him out for ice cream. It was up to him. Brad knew he could only push his luck so far. His father was a patient man, but even he had his limits. If Brad acted up, he could kiss his ice cream good-bye. It was worth being good for.

Conditions. There always seem to be conditions on everything. Little strings attached. How wonderful it is when we find relationships with no strings attached. Our relationship with God is like that: no conditions, no strings. He loves us even when we are unlovable. We can misbehave, and we can be bad, but God welcomes us back whenever we return to Him. He doesn't ever withhold His favor from those who reach out to Him.

Prayer: I'm not always as good as I know I should be. I act terrible at times. Please forgive and accept me, Lord. I love You, and I want to make You proud of me. Amen.
