Initiate the Dialogue

today's reading.
Luke 11:1-13    Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples"...

the blog.
After Jesus says the Lord's Prayer, he spends a good bit of time explaining to the disciples how important it is for us to bring our requests to the Lord in prayer. And for this to happen, it requires us to initiate the dialogue and communication. "And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (vs. 9).

So how are you doing in the "dialogue with God" department? What's something Jesus showed you today about prayer? Tami W.

P.S. Happy New Year! Looking forward to all God has in store for each of us in 2012.
