Nathan is a young man who loves humbly serving kids with special needs. Years ago he worked with my son, Jeremy. My wife encouraged Nathan to use his gifts by volunteering at Camp Barnabas.

Recently, we learned that Nathan was promoted from a volunteer to a paid leadership position. When Nathan was told, he was shocked! “You want me to be part of leadership?” he asked. He was surprised he would be considered for such an honor.

When God instructed Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he responded in Exodus 3:11, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

In your workplace, some of your best leaders will be the ones who are humbled and surprised you asked them to serve.
