Psalms 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The path of obedience is full of blessing!

There is no better life than the life lived in fellowship with God. No matter what success you experience in the world, no matter what honors are heaped on you in the secular sphere, no matter how much money you have or what pleasures you enjoy — none of these things will ever come close to the inner peace and sense of inner satisfaction that you will feel when you are walking with God.

God is reminding you today that He is waiting to pour out His blessings on your inner life (and often your outer life too). He is waiting for you to choose the pathway of obedience, which is also the pathway of blessing.
