Time with God - March 3, 2016

Revelation 7:9-10 (NLT)

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a mighty shout, "Salvation comes from our God on the throne and from the Lamb!"

Countless people will be praising God with you in heaven!

Mark Kaoma, Ambassadors for Christ International's director in Zambia, organised a great evangelistic event in the city of Ndola. The program lasted for 5 days from 5pm to 9 pm every evening, and included the participation of more than 44 churches and interdenominational ministries. Mark also invited Shiferaw Feyissa, AFCI's director in Ethiopia, to be part of the program. The choirs and praise bands from the churches came together to form a great Mass Choir. The event took place at a stadium called the Chifubu Ground and attendance was excellent: more than 10,000 people came each of the first 2 nights, peaking at 15,000 the last night. Hundreds of people made a decision to follow Christ, and many more were healed and encouraged in their faith. The event was a good example of what can happen when God's people come together to do His work.

The great numbers of people, the enthusiastic singing, different languages and tribes, all focused on the worthiness of our Saviour, the worship of our God. Can you imagine what our joy and celebration will be like when we all gather at His throne, when all outward differences have melted away and we join with our brothers and sisters in praising our Lord as we look at His beloved face? Anything we imagine will fall far short of the glory we will be part of then!

One good response to today's verses from Revelation is to begin to praise Him now, offering Him a sacrifice of praise continually. But what about all of those who need to hear the Good News so that they, too, can participate in this great coming event in heaven? Will you ask the Lord what He would like you to do to help others come to Him?
