Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Trust God enough to wait!

An old French proverb says, “Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet.” How true that is! We hate not knowing which way we should go. It can make us feel insecure and tentative.

But today God is reminding you to trust Him. “Do not lean on your own understanding.” Rather, learn to wait patiently for God’s leading.

Put God first in your life, acknowledge Him in all your ways, and let Him work things out. God is the master of coordinating circumstances in the lives of those who trust Him, so that their lives move down the paths of His purposes.

Sometimes when you ask God to lead you, He will give you a clear inner sense of which way to go. Sometimes He will close all doors but the one He wants for you. Often He will help you see that there is a spiritual principle you need to apply to the situation that makes the way forward clear.

But sometimes He just asks you to wait. That’s when trust becomes the issue! Do you trust God enough to wait?
