Wait For His Plan to Unfold | Psalm 106:6-15

Today's Passage: Psalm 106:6-15
Key Verses: Psalm 106:12-13

Then they believed his promises and sang his praise. But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold.

Psalm 106 describes God's work during a period in the history of Israel. He delivered them from Egypt, led them across the Red Sea, and was taking them to the Promised Land. However, they "soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold."

It's easy to forget what God has done. Our days are filled with pressing needs and busy activities that swallow any time for reflection. "God, what have you done for me today?" unfortunately becomes our mantra.

Slow down. Reflect on what God has done. God's powerful activity not only delivers us from the present danger, but provides confidence that he is more than capable of delivering us tomorrow. Don't forget what God did yesterday. Wait on him today. Let his plan unfold for tomorrow.

Father, slow us down. Help us to reflect. Don't let us forget. You promise that the same power that saves us will provide us with everything we need. In Jesus' name. Amen.
