Blessing: The Ripple Effect | Psalm 112:1-5

Todayís Passage: Psalm 112:1-5
Key Verses: Psalm 112:1-2

Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands. Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

Todayís passage is a great reminder for every parent and grandparent. Like a rock dropped in a pool of water, our actions ripple through the lives of our children and grandchildren.

The Lord blesses those who honor him. The investment of obedience today results in great dividends. That truth should give every parent and grandparent a solemn pause.

Take some time to let God drive that truth deep into your heart. Feel the weight of responsibility. My life cannot be about what delights me, but what brings pleasure for God. The person who finds great delight in Godís commands today will pass on great blessing tomorrow.

Father, remind me often that my actions produce blessing or consequence. Help me find great delight in your commands. Move me past lip service to real action. In Jesusí name. Amen.
