He Stooped Down | Psalm 113:4-9

Today's Passage: Psalm 113:4-9
Key Verses: Psalm 113:4-6

The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?

Jesus left heaven to take on human flesh...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

Born to a poor girl in a stable...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

Although miraculously born he carried the stigma of illegitimacy...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

He had no beauty to attract us to him...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

He was despised and rejected by men...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

He was a man of sorrows and familiar with suffering...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

He was pierced for our transgressions...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

He was crushed for our iniquities...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

The punishment that gave us peace was on him...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

By his wounds we are healed...
...the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down...

Lord Jesus, thank you for stooping down for us. Thank you for bearing our sin in your body on the cross. In your name. Amen.
