Why do you read the Bible? Certainly there is nothing inherently wrong with knowledge, discipline or encouragement, unless . . . those things saturate your reasoning. God's Word is his love letter to us. It's from his heart to ours. It preserves us in a world intent on tearing us down and saves us in a world trying to drag us under.

Father, thank you for preserving me through your Word. In Jesus' name. Amen.
