God Is About Forever | Psalm 61:4-8

Todayís Passage: Psalm 61:4-8
Key Verses: Psalm 61:4-5

I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. For you, God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

The world says, ìTake it now!î God is about forever.

The flesh says, ìYou deserve it now!î God is about forever.

Satan says, ìCompromise now!î God is about forever.

Many want their palace here. The believer longs to dwell in Godís tent forever.

Many sacrifice for temporal security. The believer craves eternal refuge.

Many work for earthly rewards. The believer desires an eternal heritage.

Many build their kingdoms here. The believer longs to be enthroned in Godís presence forever.

Many want to hum a tune today. The believer yearns to praise Godís name forever.

Father, teach me the difference between now and forever. Donít let me give in to the present and sacrifice the forever. Help me accomplish things today that count for forever. In Jesusí name. Amen.
