The Lord Upholds | Psalm 145:14-21

Today’s Passage: Psalm 145:14-21
Key Verses: Psalm 145:14-18

The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

The journey is filled with dangers. The road signs for temptations are brightly lit, attractive and luring. The path has a treacherous downhill grade and some exhausting climbs. Sometimes we get worn down. Sometimes we fall down.

But the Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

The journey is filled with decisions. There are different paths to different destinations. Our assessments are not always wise, our judgments not always prudent. Sometimes our choices weigh heavy on our souls.

But the Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

The journey is filled with dreams. There are things we want to accomplish. There are aspirations we long to achieve. The path does not always arrive at the doorstep of our desires. The death of our dreams leads to the land of great disappointment.

But the Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

Lord, thank you for holding us up even when we take the wrong path, make the wrong decision and follow the wrong dream. Thank you for holding us up every step of the journey and delivering us home in victory! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
