and how to use it well
Nothing (but Jesus) inspires me more than a powerful woman.
A woman that is smart.
A woman that is strong.
A woman that kicks the tail out of life by defying its limits.
As powerful women, our bodies can do amazing things. Our brains can solve many problems. Our hands can create many beautiful works.
But there is responsibility in all of that.
- To love and nurture ourselves, physically.
- To make wise, prayerful decisions.
- To take care of people.
A powerful woman can bless many others. We can have true and lasting impact. But first, we have to know who we are, choose the right things to do, and pray like crazy our flesh won't get in the way in the process.
It's being strong but recognizing where our true strength comes from.
It's determining to use our power and influence well.
Our bodies, our ability to persuade, our resilience of mind and heart...all gain power under the sovereign leadership of Jesus Christ.
Esther knew this and used her influence to save a nation. (Esther 5-8) Deborah knew this and used her influence to rule as Israel's only female judge. (Judges 4)
Be influential, women. Kick the tail out of life. But never forget that as powerful as you may be...the yielding of your life to Jesus is what makes you truly strong.
Psalm 105:4 — "Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him."
Psalm 118:14 — "The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory."
