Paul sets us straight about our proper place and role as a follower of Christ in 1 Corinthians 3. The message that God is in charge and we are here to serve His purposes came across loud and clear for me through verses 6-7. "I [Paul] planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth."
