I Delight

Today's reading: Psalm 40:1-17

Psalm 40 is rich with lessons and specific examples about living for and serving God. But it was the broader message of verse 8 that spoke to my heart today.

"I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart" (Psalm 40:8, ESV).

One of the things I love to do is tell God that it's my desire to follow Him and do His will. Starting each day with this prayer gets my thinking focused on serving God and provides direction.

How often do you tell God that it's your heart’s desire to follow Him and do His will? Is it your practice to ask Him to show you what His will is for your life? Tami
