Revelation 16:1-21 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God"...
Revelation 16think about it.
How do the dragon (Satan), the beast and the false prophet respond to the bowl judgments (16:13-16)? How do the people respond to these judgments (16:8, 10, 21)? Looking at people's reactions to these disasters, what does this say about responding to God when bad things happen?
We turn to Revelation today and a passage that clues us in to a place and a future battle at Armageddon (also known as Megiddo). I've had several opportunities to visit this area of Megiddo and have driven through and gone up on the hillside and looked over the valley of Armageddon. It's quite beautiful--lush and green with fields full of crops.
But there will be a time when things won't be like they are today--and we cannot afford to overlook that. The events taking place in Revelation 16 are awful...horrendous. And then you add to that the hard-hearted response of the people (they cursed God and did not repent) and that tells me we need to do everything possible to reach people with the message of Christ...NOW.
So I'm curious, did Revelation 16 move you like it did me today? What was on your heart after reading this powerful chapter? Tami W.
