Patiently Perfect Timing

Today's reading: 2 Peter 3:1-13

Yesterday we considered how time from God's perspective is different than time from our human perspective. And while there are times I'd like for my timing and God's to be the same, when I read the message in verse 9, I am convicted about my selfish way of thinking and grateful for God's perfect timing.

"The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."

How does knowing that God is "not slow" but instead "patient" with us encourage you today? What does this verse reveal about God's wisdom and love? Tami
