Praising Petition

Today's reading: Psalm 86:1-17

I love the way David interacts with God. And in this particular conversation, I was drawn to the way that David intertwines praising God with his request for help, rather than making his prayer all about him and fixing his problems.

How do you approach and communicate with God when you pray? Do your prayers typically include an element of recognizing and praising God for His goodness, His love, His provision, His sovereignty and greatness?
