Today's reading: Psalm 5:1-12
The fact that David had an established routine with God came across loud and clear to me as I took in Psalm 5. I love how part of David's conversation with God provides us with a description of David's routine interacting with God. His day starts out by talking with God (prayer) and preparing a sacrifice (for us perhaps a willing heart and attitude), and then he waits for God to respond. David also asks God to lead and teach him, and the result of it all is living with joy.
What are the benefits of having a consistent routine with God? Is it your practice to start your day by talking with God? If so, how does this impact the rest of your day? Tami
