1 Thessalonians 2:17-20 For you yourselves know, brothers, that our coming to you was not in vain...
Paul wants to visit his friends, the believers at Thessalonica, and he expresses that desire in 1 Thessalonians 2:17-3:13. But as he's talking about his longing to be with them in person, he also provides us with information about this church. We see that these believers are experiencing affliction (although we don't know the specifics). We also see that these people have maintained their faith in spite of their difficult circumstances. That's encouraging to me because if they were able to do it, I know I can do the same.
What do you do to maintain your faith when you're in difficult times? What role does God's Word play? Tami W.
