Seize the Power

James 5:13-18   Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise...

Prayer is a powerful tool, available to us at any time, for any situation. But sometimes, I forget that. I get wrapped up in whatever my situation is to the point that I don't take advantage of this powerful gift from God. So I was thankful for how James hit prayer so boldly in James 5:13-18, and especially these words from verse 16 "The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."

How have you experienced the power of prayer in your own life? How have you seen prayer work in the life (or lives) of someone else? What are you dealing with today that you haven't yet offered to the Lord in prayer? Tami
