God’s Peace

Today's reading: Psalm 3:1-8

David is in a bad situation, fleeing from his son, Absalom, who is seeking David's life. But instead of exhibiting panic and fear, David is at peace, knowing that God is in control. I loved the picture of peace during the storm that verses 5 and 6 provided.

"I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves up against me all around."

What's your experience with God giving you peace in difficult times? Is there an area of your life or a specific situation you need to turn over to God today? Tami
