For Sinners

today's reading.
1 Timothy 1:1-20  Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope...

the blog.
Paul is encouraging young Timothy to stand firm in his faith in Christ, and part of that encouragement is Paul reminding Timothy of what Christ did for Paul (plus Timothy and us). I liked Paul's recognition of his condition before coming to Christ and the proclamation in verse 15 that "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of who I am the foremost." I can definitely relate to that statement. It caused me to look back and consider how knowing Christ has impacted every aspect of my life and how I've grown spiritually as my relationship with God has deepened.

So how would you describe yourself before receiving Christ as your Savior? How has your life changed since then? Tami
