Giving Up

Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 8:1-13

My middle and high school days came to mind as I took in 1 Corinthians 8. You see, not being a stumbling block to others was something my parents were mindful of and practiced. As a result, there were a number of things that I was not allowed to do or participate in as I was growing up. I, of course, would question these decisions which led to many conversations about how our family had chosen not to do certain activities so as not to be a stumbling block to someone else. I didn't care for those decisions at the time, but now many years later, I totally understand my parents' concern. And guess what? I am following their example.

As you interact with other believers are you mindful of, and sensitive to, those who may not fully understand their freedom in Christ or view it differently than you? What role does love play in not being a stumbling block to others? Tami
