Action Living

Today's reading: Colossians 3:1-17

As a follower of Christ, I want to live a life that is pleasing to God. But living that "pleasing" life requires intentionality with regard to my focus and thinking as well as my actions and words. Paul communicates this through his "putting off and on" examples in Colossians 3:1-17, which is a passage I frequently read to help me stay focused on living fully for Christ. One of my favorite verses is Colossians 3:17.

"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

So what are some actions or efforts you take to "put on" good things like compassion, kindness, humility and forgiveness? What about "putting off" worldly desires? Tami

P.S. Monday we're starting into 1 Corinthians, one of Paul's letters to the church in Corinth. So be sure to check in.
