More than History

Psalms 132   Remember, O LORD, in David's favor, all the hardships he endured, how he swore to the LORD and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob...

Psalm 132 is filled with details about a time in history when things operated very differently than in the present. Even so, there's still plenty we can learn from this Psalm that is useful to us today. I found that when I kind of stepped back and took a more "big picture" approach, there was really quite a bit here for me to consider. For example, the references to David's words and actions provided a good illustration of living vibrantly for God.

So here are a couple other "big picture" things to consider: What does Psalm 132 show you about the importance of praising and worshipping God? What does it reveal to you about God's character?Tami W.
