Influenced

Today's reading: 2 Kings 8:16-29

As we finish out 2 King 8, we’re given a brief look at two kings of Judah, Jehoram and Ahaziah. Our passage tells us clearly that neither of these men were godly leaders, immediately followed by statements about how they were connected and related to the evil “house of Ahab” and its descendants.

What does this passage reveal about the influence of people who are our companions—friends, business associates, family members, dates or spouses? Think back over the past month or so. How have the people that you’ve spent time with influenced your thinking and actions? Why are Christian companions so important? Tami
