Pep Talk

today's reading.
Philippians 3:12-21  Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own...

the blog.
Paul is the ultimate encourager (which I love), and when we get to Philippians 3:12-4:1 we see his passion regarding living rightly for Christ and continuing to push forward in all we do for Him. But in the middle of his encouragement--his pep talk, if you will--Paul brings our attention to those who don't know Christ. And at this point, we see his sadness over these lost souls.

"For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things" (Philippians 3:18-19).

So as you "press on" for Christ today would you ask the Lord to help you recognize and be mindful of those around you who don't know Christ? Knowing that their "end is destruction" what will you do? Tami W.
