Full and Overflowing

today's reading.
Philippians 1:1-11  Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ...

the blog.
Paul is in prison when he writes to the church at Philippi. So you might expect that there'd be a hint of discouragement in his words. Not so! In fact, what we see is just the opposite. You've heard people being described as "half full" or "half empty" right? Well Paul goes beyond that. He's what I'd describe as "full and overflowing," and we certainly get that picture in Philippians.

So how is it that Paul can be so joyful in the middle of his not so good circumstances? What did you see in Paul today that will help you be (and stay) joyful? Tami W.
