Me...Second

today's reading.
James 4:13-17  Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit"...

the blog.
James makes it pretty clear that nothing good comes out of selfish ambition. "For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice" (James 4:16). So I gave some thought to being selfish and what exactly selfishness is. I came up with this: Selfishness = putting me before everything and everyone, including God.

So this week I'm committing to hit my selfishness head on. I'm going to intentionally step back into that second place spot and put others around me first. How about joining me? Who you can put first this week--in your home, at work, at school, at church? Tami W.
