Face Plant

Are you like me? Have you ever pulled a Peter? You know what I mean, declaring that you are going to follow Jesus with every effort you have, or proclaiming that you are going to tell everyone about Jesus, or that you're going to _______ (you fill in the blank), and then, you fall flat on your face in failure. Yeah, it's pretty awful. 

So what happened to Peter that he flipped from "I will never fall away" (verse 33) to swearing "I do not know the man" in verse 74? What does Peter show us about us? And how can you use Peter's face plant to help you avoid doing the same? Tami W.
