Today we reach Daniel 6 and the well-known lion's den incident. It had been a while since I had read this account and, boy, did it hit me powerfully. I couldn't help but notice the incredible example Daniel was at the time--to the king, to the other officials, and, no doubt, to the people he had contact with each day. He was truly a bright light for God to many people. And what an incredible example and encouragement he is for us today--to be steadfast in following the Lord, living a life that shows and tells others about Him.

So how did Daniel's lion den's experience encourage you today? What can you do this week to shine brightly in your unique setting and situation? Tami
