Estemos firmes
Estad así firmes en el Señor.
Filipenses 4:1
El versículo de hoy trae a la mente la imagen de un soldado que se mantiene firme en medio de la batalla. Pablo empleó la misma metáfora en Efesios 6:11: "Vestíos de toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis estar firmes contra las asechanzas del diablo". Estar firmes espiritualmente quiere decir no comprometer su testimonio cristiano al dejarse abatir por las pruebas o las tentaciones.
Me entristece que muchos creyentes no toman en serio a Dios y sus mandamientos. En vez de conocer a Dios, muchos prefieren que los entretengan. Esa indiferencia considera sus mandamientos como simples sugerencias. Pero nuestro soberano Señor nos manda que estemos firmes. Inmanente en ese mandato está la capacidad de obedecer.
