The Right Attitude

Optimism, and a zeal for life, paves the way for excellence. This is an area where Christians (as a whole) have an advantage.

According to a Wall Street Journal article titled, “Does Faith Make You Healthier?” a study of 90,000 women discovered that women who attended religious services regularly were 56% more likely to be optimistic than women who did not.

Another study that examined over 2 million tweets discovered that Christian tweeters used positive words more often than atheists.

The Apostle Paul taught in Romans 12:11-12, “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

In the workplace we encounter many challenges, but a key to excellence is optimism coupled with a zeal for life.
