Good and Faithful

In a Wall Street Journal article titled, “The Truth About Being a Hero” a former bronze star medal of honor recipient said this about his medal;

“A lot of people have done a lot more and gotten a lot less, and a lot of people have done a lot less and gotten a lot more.”

Being a hero of faith is similar. When we’re focused on comparing ourselves to others we’ll be disappointed. In Matthew 25 Jesus rewarded each person according to what he produced with what he had been given.

If we seize the opportunities God gives us, and do our best, then someday we may hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.”
