Share the Glory

“The Life of Manny” is an intriguing book on leadership. Manny accepts a management position in a large consulting practice in New York. His first challenge is Linda, one of his staff who had counted on getting Manny’s position.

While Linda was looking for ways to undermine her new boss, Manny was looking for ways to empower her. He surprisingly passes on his opportunity for glory to Linda. His selfless act resulted in a new client and a new ally.

Jesus knew the importance of empowering others. In John 16:14 He said, “The Spirit of truth will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.”

It takes a confident leader to empower others. Have you shared any of your glory lately?
